Chosen By God

You may not feel it, might not even believe it, but you were chosen for a reason and this season. God could have chosen anyone else, but He chose you. You already know what you have been called to do. God did not call anyone else to fulfill your purpose. No, He called you. It’s time for you to step up and walk in your calling.♥️ ~Shaun

Don’t worry, you will not fail. How can you? You were chosen by God!

Reblog of April’s Random Ramblings (2022)

I haven’t rambled in quite some time. Smile. Y’all, I used to ramble at least every other month. Sometimes several times a month. Guess I had a lot to say back then. Now, life isn’t necessarily boring, but I do not have as much to write about anymore. That’s why I use my Facebook memories for inspiration.

Two years ago, which is when April’s Random Ramblings was written, I was almost a year into posting daily. Now I am on day 1066. Woohoo!! When I tell you I am so proud of myself! It took me several tries before I actually got the hang of it. I was determined to do it for at least a month. Y’all, I was like the blue heart guy. Laughing. Didn’t know it would be so difficult to be that consistent. Sure, I could have written and scheduled several posts in advance, but I wanted to share my thoughts daily. As I said yesterday, you have to keep trying until you see what you dreamed. Well, I did!

Okay… I didn’t necessarily see myself as a blogger; however, I saw myself connecting with the world sharing hope, love, and kindness, and a few life experiences. Making global connections has always been a lifelong dream; and blogging has allowed me to connect. Now, I’m connecting through TikTok and YouTube. My ultimate dream is to sit among leaders and diplomats from different nations and share my thoughts on hope, kindness and compassion. Listen, by the time I’m done, I’m going to have everyone singing my song, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony).” I can see it! Smile

Anyhoo… I’m running behind this morning so I’m not going to write much more. If you have time, read “April’s Random Rambling’s,” below. Can’t believe it’s been almost two years since my son graduated from high school. Now, I have a young adult who is getting ready to enter his junior year of college, and he’s working. My babies definitely aren’t babies anymore. Life…

Well, that’s all for now. Wishing you a beautiful, peaceful day!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Open The Bottle

Have you been limiting God? Limiting Him to only what you see, know, and have experienced? If so…STOP! Stop limiting Him. He’s not a genie, but you have Him confined to a bottle as if He were one. Instead of allowing Him to work freely, you have limited Him to what you believe you want. The funny thing is, God already knows what you need to reach your fullest potential. And whatever that might be, may not even be on your radar at this moment. Remember, God knows and sees all.

Listen, I am receiving this message as I write. It’s definitely for me too! Whew!!

Open the bottle and let God free! Let Him do His thing! I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited!

Thanking God for loving me like only He can. I am definitely blessed. Y’all, I needed this revelation.♥️

Remember who you are. Then change the game!

Blessed♥️

You already know who you are. You have known all along. Now it’s time for others to know. It’s time for you to walk in your truth, calling, and purpose. Yes…it’s time. It’s time for you to change the game. Best wishes!♥️

Slow Down

This was last year’s Facebook post. The caption was simple, “Slow down.♥️”

Most things nowadays are so fast paced. Before you can get a simple thought out, people have already moved on to something else. I guess that’s just where we are as a society. It’s good to keep up with the flow, but make sure you are not moving so fast that you do not notice the blessings surrounding you. Even when life requires more, slow down enough to embrace your blessings.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Respect Peace

Facebook Memory: April 11, 2022

Your time and peace are valuable. Protect both by making sure others respect them. Not only is this an act of self-care, but self-preservation.

Peace is everything. My life has never been very chaotic because, for most part, I played along to get along. Never one to really rock the boat. I was the one who would “take one for the team.” Yeah, I would let everything fall on me. I always felt like I was strong enough to take whatever I was faced with and more. Yes, I thought I was superwoman and everyone’s mama. Guess that’s the nurturer in me. Then, one day I stopped. I stopped taking on everyone else’s issues. When I did, I discovered this thing called peace. Instead of keeping the peace, I was experiencing peace. Believe me, there’s a difference.

A few years ago, I found myself in a situation where I was trying to play the peacekeeper. Well, the only thing that happened was I became miserable and the mess got even worse. So, what did I do? I removed myself from the entire situation. Severed all ties. Y’all, when I tell you I felt like a new person! Now, anyone or anything that enters my life has to respect my peace.

Here’s my two cents. If it disturbs your peace, let it go! I don’t care whether it’s a job (been there, ain’t doing it again), a relationship (done that too, never again), or your own thoughts (rebuke them!!!)—let them go! They are not worth holding on to. Your peace matters. Your health matters! Don’t you know stress kills…literally! Let it/them go and live in peace. Love you!♥️

Patience

Patience: the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

Hmmm… I’m pretty patient. How about you?

Over the years, I have learned that it’s better to wait on God than to step out on my own. Believe me, it only took me a few times of “doing me” to realize God’s way and timing are always best.

Here’s what I shared five years ago.

Facebook Memory: April 10, 2019

Happy Hump Day! Here’s today’s social media find. Patience. Be patient. Your day is coming. Your breakthrough is right around the corner. Sound familiar? Sometimes I feel like I’ve been patient long enough. Like I’ve had that good attitude forever, and the results are no where in sight. Real talk.💯 Honestly, it’s hard to stay positive all of the time. However, today I commit to remaining positive no matter what things look like. I know God is working. Yes, God is working.☺️

When I tell you God always sends the right message at the right time. Several blogs ago, I wrote about my first time experiencing anger, which was after my ex refused to sign the divorce papers. Well, it was during that time—probably at the height of my anger (after four years of patiently waiting)—that I happened to see Women Of History’s tweet (in the image above).

After sharing their tweet, I did exactly what was suggested, I carried on with a positive attitude. I put the pain of the wait behind me and started living. Then, one day when I least expected it, I received a call from my lawyer telling me the papers had been signed. Hallelujah!

Y’all, it’s true, it’s always darkest before dawn. If you have been waiting years for something to happen, do not give up. Completely surrender it to God and live. Believe me, once you release it to God, the wait won’t even bother you.

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday. Bad weather is forecasted for the entire day, here. Praying the damage is minimal and there are no fatalities.

Be Blessed ♥️

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

How many dreams have you given up on in your lifetime because they just seem unrealistic, unobtainable, or your time has passed? I don’t know about you, but I have given up on many dreams—too many. Mostly because they had not come the way I imagined they would. They always required work that I was either not prepared to do or didn’t want to do. Yes, dreams take work. Smile. Well, this year, Year50, I had to ask myself if I was going to spend this side of 50 giving up on what I wanted most or go get it. My answer, “Baby, I’m getting everything God has for me!” I am not letting any of the dreams I still have die with me, and I suggest that you don’t either. You cannot afford to let them die. God gave you those dreams, which means you can actually have them if you want them. Now, go get them!♥️ ~Shaun

Don’t give up and never stop believing. You’re closer to your dream than you think.

Remember, you have to work for it!
