Our Leap Year Baby
Today, we celebrated my youngest nephew’s first birthday. He’s our leap year baby! His parents decided they would celebrate his birthday on February 28th each year until the 29th rolls around again.
Last year was a roller coaster ride for him and my sister. My sister had to be induced a week early due to preeclampsia. A few days after giving birth, she began experiencing shortness of breath, so she went to the emergency room. Well, without consulting with OB/GYN, the ER doctor diagnosed her with acute heart failure, released her (said there was nothing he could do), and referred her to a heart specialist. The next day, she called her doctor and was readmitted for preeclampsia. It wasn’t heart failure. Talk about a frightening and emotional time! After receiving the proper care, she was released a few days later. A couple of days after that, the baby was diagnosed with jaundice.
The first few weeks of his life were very eventful. Now, here we are a year later, and everyone’s healthy. God is good.♥️
Second Time Around
Can’t you hear Shalamar singing “Second Time Around”? Well, I surely can. Smile
Well, this isn’t about a relationship, at least not the kind they were singing about. This one is about my second term as my association’s president-elect/president. Y’all, everything is finally making sense. I now understand why I’ve been given a second opportunity to serve.☺️
Feeling grateful. I’m blessed. Beyond blessed.🥰

Struggle–Free Blessings
Last year I wrote—
“Walking into blessings without the struggles. I refuse to accept that struggles are a prerequisite for blessings. Nope. Not today!”
As last year, I refuse to accept that I will always struggle before receiving blessings. Not buying it! NOT AT ALL!♥️

Although today’s the last day of Love Month, it’s not the last day to love and be loved. Love is an everyday occurrence. We wake up and fall asleep to love. It’s in our hearts and souls. Its warmth and joy radiate from us daily. It’s who we are.

Our Obedience To God Matters
Good Morning☀️
In 2023, I shared, “Your obedience to God unlocks doors.” Although this is true, I believe our obedience should be more important than any blessing we may receive. It’s our obedience that strengthens our relationship with God. It shows Him that we not only love Him, but we trust Him despite what He can do or give.
Today, my advice is to focus on building a relationship with God. It’s more important than the blessings and unlocked doors. Both will come in due time.

My Journey With God, No. 68
Found this screenshot in my photos from February 26, 2019. Since it wasn’t in my Facebook memories, I checked to see what I had written in my journal, and here’s what I found.
After writing about a dream that I had earlier that morning, I wrote—
“So “La, La, La” by Zhane keeps playing over and over in my head. Lord! Talking about feeling crazy!! Yes, my dreams are haunted. But, that entire album has been playing over and over in my head for the past month.”
Side Note: “For A Reason” or “Everything Happens For A Reason” was the main song I kept hearing. It ended up staying with me the entire year. Then, when my brother passed that October, I felt that was probably the reason I kept hearing it. Life…
Anyhoo… back to my journal entry and dream.
“When I woke up all of the anxiety I’d been feeling was gone. It was replaced with peace.
Message: God will not deliver you something that will bring chaos to your life. He will send you peace. Everything will be alright.”
Today’s message is the same, and I’m sharing it with you—God will not send you chaos but peace. Everything will be alright.♥️
