The Past Twelve Years

I shared this message of Pastor Joel Osteen’s 12 years ago. Twelve years ago! Y’all, sooo much has happened since then. Since me saying, “God, I’m going to let You take me where You want me to go.” Honestly, I do not believe anything could have prepared me for what would come. Listen, sometimes our plans and God’s plans are completely different.

Took many years to finally appreciate the freedom of allowing Him to lead/drive. Now, it’s almost like second nature…almost! Smile. There are still times when I take the wheel because I believe I know what’s best. Then when things don’t quite work out, I let Him drive again. As Pastor Osteen said, God sees the detours, dead ends, and shortcuts. He sees all. Thankfully, I am finally at a point in life where it doesn’t take me as long to realize who’s in the driver’s seat.

Twelve years later, and I am beyond blessed. I am so glad I allowed God to drive.♥️

This is Year50…

All We Have Is The Present

I cannot believe we are almost one full week into 2024! Time is doing what it does—moving forward without a care in the world. It does not care about feelings, life, peace or chaos. Nope. It just moves right along. Which brings me to today’s Facebook memory—staying present. I believe when we stop fighting time life seems to flow so much more effortlessly.

Facebook Memory: January 5, 2023

Let’s not be so consumed with the past or the future that we miss out on today’s blessings. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised. All we have is now.♥️

Staying present represents our respect for time.

Today, I challenge you (doing the same for myself) to stay present and enjoy the gift of now. Have a wonderful day and beautiful weekend!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

The Wait

Facebook Memory: November 4, 2022

Be patient. Everything will happen at its appointed time.♥️

It will happen.

No matter how long you have waited, keep waiting. It is better to wait for God’s best than settle for less and then try to mold what you settled for into God’s best. It doesn’t work that way. I don’t know about you, but I would rather wait for God’s best knowing that everything He has for me is only for me. Yes… ONLY for me.

My advice—be patient and wait on God. Allow Him to lead. He hasn’t forgotten about you. Remember, He is always working and everything will happen when it is time. Believe me, nothing or no one can stop it.

Love you!♥️

Make Every Moment Count

How often have you taken moments for granted?

Seems like the older I become, and the more my loved ones die, the more I cherish people, time and experiences. I try not to take anything or anyone for granted. As the saying goes, “Here today, gone tomorrow.” We never know if one particular moment—encounter or experience—will be our last.

Don’t know about you, but I’m taking nothing for granted. Every moment and every experience is precious. Cherishing them all.

Before I end, thank you for reading my blogs. I truly appreciate you and your time. Love you!♥️
