One good thing about social media is being able to witness God’s greatness through testimonies of growth, success, and manifested dreams. It’s the testimonies of others overcoming obstacles and hardships to finally succeeding and excelling that keep me believing. If God can do it for them, He most certainly can do it for me because I know He loves me. So, I cannot and will not give up on my dreams.
And YOU cannot afford to give up on yours, either. No matter how long it takes, never, ever give up on your dreams!♥️

Cherish Your Time With Loved Ones
This memory is so fitting for how I have been feeling the last few days—from what would’ve been my mom’s 67th birthday this past Friday to my daughter leaving today—I must be intentional about cherishing the time I spend with those I love.
Be sure to do the same.

My Besties
Not sure why it’s taken me forever to realize that my besties are my two hearts. When I think about my relationship with my actual friends (even my sisters), we can go days, even weeks without texting, and months without seeing each other. However, with my two, we talk everyday all day long. Maybe not verbally, but via texts… well, my daughter and I do. My son chimes in every now and then. He’d rather FaceTime. Now that they’re grown, they’ve become my best friends. I guess I’m their Mother-Friend.🙃 Thanking God for blessing me with friends I didn’t know I would need.
This is us. My daughter just left to head home. This is my first time feeling sad about her leaving. I wasn’t ready for her to go.😔
God First

I Still Believe
Being reminded of my “Why” keeps me hopeful.
I hadn’t looked at all of my Facebook memories until moments ago. Six years ago, I created my social media platform, “Mississippi Thriving.” I posted my official welcome message in December of that year, so you may see me celebrate milestones in February and December.
Here’s what I wrote on this date in 2019 and 2020.
In the past six years, I have connected with so many wonderful people who share my same vision for a healthier, brighter, and thriving Mississippi. Although it may feel as if we’ll never see it happen in our lifetimes, I still believe it’s possible.
I must keep hope alive.♥️

My Journey With God, No. 67
God has been speaking to me this morning, and y’all, I’m listening.
His message to me, which may also be a message for you—I (you) can’t carry someone else’s load (this includes their fears). Their load is theirs to bear. I can pray for them and help however I can, but I cannot carry their load for them. My hands and heart weren’t meant to do God’s job. Just like I have been attempting to rest in Him, others will have to find rest in him as well. He let me know that it doesn’t mean that I don’t care, it only means that I cannot do what only He can do.
I just love how He loves me.🥰 ~Shaun
