A Friendly Reminder: Be Still

Shared as a story on June 15, 2021.

Whatever you’re trying to handle on your own but failing, this is your reminder to let go, be still, and watch God work. He’s got this and He’s got you!♥️

I love you,

Leave It In God’s Hands

Here’s a much-needed reminder for those of us who sometimes have to sit on our hands to refrain from taking control back from God.

Obedience matters.

Leave everything in God’s hands. Even that email you want to write, or that text you’ve been thinking about responding to. Everything! God’s got this, and He’s got you. He will let you know when your assistance is needed. And when He says move, you better be ready to move! Smile♥️

Love you,

My Journey With God, No. 99

I didn’t know it at the time, but the Pause I took not too long ago, was necessary. I needed to be still and calm (that’s where the breathing helped—see my last post “Pause and Breathe) so I could hear God’s voice.

Several days ago, God gave me a message. I wrote it down because it was pretty good. However, I never considered He was giving me instructions to follow. Today, He sent the same message but in a different way. This time, I received it, but it was only after I was still enough to understand that His words were instructional.

Sometimes, God gives us instructions that seem so minute that we barely recognize their significance. I am so grateful that He loves us enough to send the message(s) multiple times and in multiple ways.

I’m listening God. I am forever grateful for you patience, love, and grace. I am truly blessed.♥️

Mellow Moments Are Necessary

No phone. No music. No distractions—not even your thoughts. Just you and God.😌

Mellow moments are so necessary.

Sitting here looking out the window, wishing I was a carefree little girl again. It’s the perfect weather for playing outside or lying on the grass gazing up at the sky. The birds are having sooo much fun. I wish I could be out there with them, enjoying God’s glory. Maybe I’ll join them for a few minutes tomorrow or Thursday.

Yes, mellow moments are necessary. If they don’t happen naturally, be intentional about creating them. Believe me, your soul will thank you.♥️

I love you much,

Shaun

Surrender, Trust, and Obedience

Good Morning☀️

Whatever I need, God will provide. (Reread this until it sinks in.)

Here’s the secret—

Totally surrender every worry to God.

And…

Trust Him completely.

Matthew 6: 25-34 (NIV) says—

25. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

26. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

27. Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ?

28. “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

29. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

30. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

31. So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

32. For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

33. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

34. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

In addition to the other two, I’m adding this last one because many of us struggle with it, but it is so key—Be obedient—obedience matters. When God instructs you to do something, whether to be still or to move, do it without delay.

This is all I have at the moment. I pray that you have a great day and a wonderful weekend. The South is expecting some pretty bad weather this weekend, so please keep us in your prayers.🙏🏽

Hmmm…🤔 How should I end this one? Been playing around with my “I love you” endings.

I love you to heaven and back!♥️

Often, Easier Said Than Done

Here’s what a shared on January 20, 2023:

In tears right now because I am experiencing a moment of God working in real time. While in the middle of writing this post—while in Walmart trying to buy things for the snow and freezing temps headed my way—thinking about “often, easier said than done,” I received a phone call from a client to schedule an appointment. Here I am trying to figure things out and God is already working things out.

The message—When God says He’s got you and to be still, He means He’s got you! Be still!! ♥️

Now, I’m in here crying… Let me hurry up and leave.

Love you,

Shaun
