Good Morning! Not sure if you realize this but every day you’re changing. You’re not the same person you were a decade ago, a year, not even a month ago. No, you are evolving and growing. You’re becoming that person God created you to be. So, whenever you feel like life is at a standstill or isn’t going as planned, remember where you used to be compared to where you are now. You’re so much stronger and wiser, and it’s beautiful.♥️
Good Morning! Today’s post is a screenshot of notes I took on September 5, 2022 while watching an episode of Laurie Crouch’s “Better Together” podcast. Unfortunately, I didn’t include a link (probably should start) or the title. However, I did include who said what so you might be able to find this particular episode if you’d like to watch it.
Notes from September 5, 2022
Me seeing this message today makes me want to pursue my dreams even more. It’s confirmation that I am moving in the right direction and that they are happening…now!
I wrote those notes two years ago. Today (literally), I’m serving. I’ve been working with a nonprofit organization helping them prepare for their charity day event (coincides with the International Day of Charity) which is happening in a few hours. Y’all, I have been serving, and God has been building. Forever grateful and beyond blessed.🥰
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading. I pray you have a wonderfully, beautiful day.♥️
Hello! It’s after midnight and I am wide awake. Fell asleep around 8 PM, now I’m up. Here’s a memory worth sharing. The reason I titled this post “Worth the Risk” is because pursuing dreams comes with all kinds of risks. The question is, are your dreams worth the risks? The risk of failure. The risks of disappointments, setbacks, heartbreaks, loss, etc. My answer is, “Yes!”. Yes, because there’s always the possibility of success, blessings, happiness, growth, abundance, and all good things.
I love the last statement in the post below, “Even if you lose, you just can’t lose.” That’s God.
Never give up on your dreams. Believe me, they are worth the risks. Remain optimistic. They will happen and be better than you ever imagined. Love you!♥️
Good Morning! Smiling right now because I had planned on sharing the Facebook memory below, but this song keeps blaring over and over in my head. Yes, blaring! Laughing. So, I guess I’ll share both.
The song is “Love Isn’t Love” by Commissioned. It says, “Love isn’t love til you’ve given it away. It’s just waiting to be given. All bitterness erased.” That’s the part that’s stuck on repeat. Now it’s out. I pray whoever needs the message receives it. Smile. Now here’s today’s Facebook memory.
Facebook Memory: September 4, 2023
“When you’re ready to do it, you will do it. You won’t need motivation. The conditions won’t have to be right. You won’t have to have the money. Shoot… fear won’t even stop you. When you’re ready to make your move, you’ll make it, and everything else will fall into place.🤷🏽♀️”
All true. When you make up your mind to do something, you’ll just do it. It’s really that simple. It’s funny how we go back and forth with ourselves worried about what will and won’t work, and then one day, out of the blue, we just do it. I’m laying here thinking about so many things I was hesitant to do—some out of fear, others because I didn’t believe I was capable of doing—and then one day I just woke up and did them. Life is truly amazing.
Well, that’s it for now. I pray you have a wonderful day!♥️
Love you,
Shaun
Also, I’ll leave you with Commissioned’s song, “Love Isn’t Love.” Be Blessed
Here’s a little reassurance for anyone who needs it. Listen, be patient. I know it’s easier said than done. However, if God said it, it will be. As I wrote three years ago, everything will happen in God’s appointed time—when He knows you are prepared to receive [it]—when you’re ready. I’m not just saying this because it sounds good and encouraging. I’m saying it because I know it to be true.♥️ ~Shaun
We were created to magnify God’s glory. Meaning others should see, hear, and feel Him through our words and actions.♥️
Side Note: Can’t you hear the gospel duo, Mary, Mary, singing, “God In Me”? Well, I can. Smile
I hope this past weekend left you well rested and ready to tackle this week. Please remember to take breaks when needed. Listen, there’s only ONE you, and you matter more than whatever you are working on. Love you!♥️
Feeling a bit off track? Feeling as if life has thrown you one too many curve balls and you’re tired of swinging? Are you asking if anything will ever work as you planned? I mean, God’s plan is the plan, right, but will the two ever align?
Guess what?!
You are right where you are meant to be… at this moment in time. However, it’s not where you are meant to stay. Be patient with the process, as well as with yourself. God’s plan and your dreams will eventually align. Everything will work out in your favor.♥️
Just finished reading a journal entry from ten years ago where I had written down what I wanted to accomplish within 10 years, i.e., by now. Well, over the past ten years, some of my hopes and dreams faded away like they never existed. However, some remained; which are the ones I am still working towards. Looking back, I can see where I got off track; where I took a few detours and scenic routes. Do I regret not accomplishing everything within the allotted ten years? Honestly—and I am being so truthful—I don’t.
The last ten years…
Let’s just call the last ten years the Decade of Random Experiences—and boy was everything random. Not in a bad or regrettable way, but random. When I tell you my life was all over the place. As soon as I thought I was focused and things were headed in one direction something random would happen that would throw me off track—like every time. That was my 40s.
Now, here I am on the other side of that decade—my 50s—where life is so much calmer. No timelines. No hurry. Even though the randomness hasn’t stopped, it doesn’t bother me like it did before. Now I just go with the flow and easily hand over the things I can’t do on my own to God. Although slowly—which seems very slow at times—everything is coming together. They’re coming together the way they are meant to and I am finally at peace with it. Y’all, God’s timing and plans really are best.
That’s all. Just felt like writing. Thanks for reading.♥️
Never stop praying or believing, because God never stops working. Believe me, everything will work out in your favor, even if it doesn’t seem like it will. Trust God. He’s got you.♥️
