Shifting Atmospheres

Good Morning!

I began last year’s journal entry with the following:

“Shaun, your worship and praise shifts atmospheres. You were not meant to blend in. You were called to shift things.” (Shaun’s Journal, August 23, 2023)

I was not meant to blend in but to shift atmospheres.

YOU were not meant to blend in. You were also created to shift atmospheres.

Question – Are you shifting or influencing the atmosphere/spaces around you? If so, is it in a positive or negative way?

I am also asking myself the same. I believe it’s necessary for us to reevaluate our current situations and relationships and our impact in these spaces. If we’re lending to positive outcomes and growth, then we’re doing a good job. If not, then we either need to change what we’re doing (because sometimes it’s us) or remove ourselves from these spaces.

Hope

Peace

Love

Kindness

Prosperity

Growth

These are a few things I strive to bring into every space I enter. If I am not doing so, then it’s time to either make a change—if it’s where I am meant to stay at the moment—or it’s time to leave.

Shifting atmospheres—that was my thought on yesterday. Little did I know I had already written what I am actually created to do. When I tell you God forever amazes me! Especially when I can see Him working in and through me. Again, and always, I am beyond blessed.🥰

That’s all for now. My prayer for you today and this weekend is that you have a positive impact on every space you enter. I pray that it is so great that you are be able to see God working through you in real time.♥️

Love you always,

Shaun

I’m Living! Part 2

Needed to take a break so I decided to write. I was beginning to get frustrated with something I was working on. Then the thought came to me that I am doing exactly what I want to do. Exactly what I enjoy doing. Couldn’t help but smile because it was the truth. Trying not to tear up as I think about just how good God is to me.

By the way—off the topic—the other day when I wrote I have finally found my people, y’all, I have finally found my people! They love life just as much as I do AND they become just as emotional when talking about the beauty of life, love, kindness, and joy. I finally feel understood. We’re not weird, we just feel everything, and it’s okay. It’s absolutely okay.

Anyhoo… Yesterday someone asked me what I did for a living. After I listed a few things she said she could tell I loved what I do. And I do. To me, that’s living! I’m doing what I love. Dancing to the beat of my own drums. And I am finding my tribe. Can’t express it enough, I am truly, truly blessed. I am so very grateful God loves me.♥️

Nothing Or No One

I love watching God work.

Nothing or no one can stop God’s amazing plan for your life. Please remember this—especially when everything seems to be falling apart or not happening in your favor. Know that God has not forgotten you. He’s forever working behind the scenes. Believe me, everything will happen when it’s time and better than you imagined. Trust Him… or, as Rev. Jesse Jackson would say, “Keep hope alive!” Y’all, he looked so good and well at the Democratic National Convention. When I tell you my heart is still overflowing this morning. Whew!

Listen, timing is everything! Keep hope ALIVE!♥️

Your Dreams Are Not Too Big

Good Morning! I have two Facebook memories to share. Couldn’t decide which I wanted to share most so I decided to share both. They were both shared six years ago, and from the order of my memories, I shared this one first.

Facebook Memory: August 19, 2018

“Today’s social media find! If you dream it, you can have it. Oftentimes it’s not other people. It’s our own self-doubt that holds us back. Whenever doubt tries to step in, shut it DOWN! Let doubt know you’ve got this!”

I used the hashtags #NeverGiveUp and #StayFocused (Photo Credit: Unknown)

Then, the next post I shared, which was probably much later that day, was about a dream that didn’t come to fruition. Here’s what I shared.

Kofi Annan’s death hit me like Colin Powell’s did, very hard. They were two icons I really wanted to meet. Like, there are people you want to meet and there are people you need to meet. I felt as if I needed to meet them both and somehow missed the opportunity. Maybe our souls met lifetimes before that’s why I felt the need so strongly. Anyhoo… Even though I didn’t get to meet them, I did meet Leah Chase, who was at the top of my list of people to meet. My heart still smiles when I think of our brief encounter. So, dreams do come true. Maybe not all but the ones that are meant to, do. Smile

That’s all for now. Wishing you a lovely day and spectacular week!♥️

Love you,

Shaun
