My birthday has finally come and gone and I’m still on a high. A new kind of high. Honestly, I have never experienced this before. When I wrote that this year’s theme would be Smooth Sailing, I really didn’t know what that meant or would feel like. It was just the first phrase that came to mind. Here’s my exact quote from June 1st’s Wednesday Writings:
This next year it’s Smooth Sailing. I just want to lay back, relax, create and let the gentle waves take me wherever they please. Whatever blessings come my way, I’m grasping them without overthinking. And the troubles I encounter.. HA! I’m handing those over to God.

Transparent moment-
The night before my birthday, I felt really gloomy and down. It was like I couldn’t shake the feeling. So, I prayed about it and fell asleep. When I woke up, I felt like a new person. No lie! It was as if the night before never happened, or the years before. Y’all, I am so serious. I got up; dyed my hair; did a mini photo shoot while styling my hair; made a quick video; then, treated myself to lunch. All of this took place before 1:00 PM. Y’all, I was on a roll. Better yet, I was sailing.
Yesterday was the same. I didn’t overthink anything. Just went with the flow. Oh.. and I posted more videos on Instagram and TikTok. Y’all, I did it without second guessing myself or worrying about how I looked or what others thought. I felt like having fun and creating, so I did. I also posted my intro video for my newest venture, Nutrition with LaShaundreaB. Which was something I had been putting off because I kept overthinking it. Shaking my head.
Well, as you can see, I have been pretty busy. Basically, I have been doing what I love. What a gift. Listen, I can’t say it enough, I love the way God loves me. I’m truly blessed. Hello, Year 49!
