Hello! Happy Sunday!

“Stay open for change. Be willing to accept the new thing God is doing.” Joel Osteen

That quote was the first post in my Facebook memories under August 4th.

God is doing a new thing. At times it may feel uncomfortable, but it’s necessary. When I woke up, the first thought I had was how did I end up here? Followed by, why me? Of all the people God could have chosen, He chose me to experience everything I have experienced. Why?

Have you ever asked yourself the same questions or similar? Why didn’t he choose someone else?

Then, I opened my memories and that’s the first message—be open for change and willing to accept the new thing God is doing.

Now, my question is, “God, what are you about to do now?”

Well, here’s what I am going to do. I am going to do what I have been doing for a while now and trust God. Trust Him wholeheartedly. Here’s a screenshot of the second post from last year. Smiling because it’s the answer to my questions, all of my questions—all of our questions. It’s not about our will but God’s.

“Draw Me Close To You/Thy Will Be Done” by Marvin L. Winans was the song I was singing.

I want to end with this, whatever it is you’re going through, give it to God, including your heart. I don’t know about you, but it’s easier for me to let go of things my heart isn’t attached to. But it’s something that’s so necessary for us to grow and move forward. We trust God with everything else, why not trust Him with our hearts? Haven’t we figured it out yet that God is Thee Heart Mender. Allow Him to do what only He can do. Then… Stay open and be willing to receive and accept the new thing He is doing. Talking to myself, too. Smile.

Well, that’s all I have right now. I woke up a little after 2:30 AM and decided to write. So, I’m going to go ahead and share, then roll over and go back to sleep. I pray you have an exceptionally blessed day.♥️

On July 26, 2022, I wrote the following:

“I pray that I never get to a point where I forget to acknowledge God’s mercy, love and grace. Y’all, every time I think about how wonderful He’s been to me throughout my lifetime, I become emotional. If you only knew!🙌🏽 EVERYTHING I have, I owe to Him. I’m blessed.”

Y’all, I am so very blessed. I never want to lose sight of how truly blessed I am. Everything I have and am is because of God.

Over the years, I have changed my graphics numerous times. I believe this particular one is from 2018. Now, I’m on a simplistic, clean kick. Not sure what’s next.

The Adventure Ahead

This particular Facebook memory basically sums up what I began feeling a few days ago—I am on the brink of another adventure. These past several years have been somewhat calm but confusing at times. Well, the confusion is slowly starting to fade and everything is beginning to make sense. I’m not going to lie, I am both excited and anxious. Not sure what lies ahead; however, as I said four years ago, I have God on my side. Everything will be fine.

I used to tell people how much I LOVED adventures. Then I went on a ride that was way too adventurous for me. Whew!! But God!

This post reminded me that life IS an adventure, and some are way more challenging than others. However, by keeping our focus on GOD, we’re guaranteed to make it through. I’m a witness! I made it!!🙌🏽

Sooo… am I ready for my next adventure? How can I not be? God is on my side.

“Beyond Blessed“ was the theme I chose for Year51. At the time, I had looked back over the previous 50 years and realized how blessed I was and still am. I stated that I was, “Speaking life, love, peace, joy, optimal health, success, prosperity, and blessings over this next year and beyond.” So, today’s Facebook memory goes perfectly with my theme and statement.

While we are so focused on what this or that leader will or will not do, God is trying to get our attention. Y’all, He’s our Source, not them. We must stay focused on Him. Whatever comes or goes, it’s God’s presence, love, peace, and provisions that will sustain us. He is the ultimate provider and miracle worker.♥️ ~ Shaun

Remember, God is love. Complete love. Not selective or conditional love.

Old Habits | New Spaces

I was reading a journal entry from July 2017 where I had written, “Old habits do not belong in new spaces.” I was preparing for something new, and I heard God say I needed to change a few habits before I could move forward. Well, I did just that. I changed what I was doing at the time and God did the rest.

Be careful not to take old habits into new spaces. They don’t belong where God’s taking you. Love you!♥️ ~ Shaun

Keep Hope Alive, Part 2

When I scheduled my first post to be shared, I didn’t share any of the other captions I wrote last year. I usually share the same message on multiple pages with a similar or different message. Little did I know I would actually need one of the other messages this morning.

This morning, I received a text that left me in tears, and also with a long overdue matter I should have addressed a long time ago. It was something I had been hesitant to acknowledge or address for fear of an unfavorable outcome. A million scenarios have played over and over in my mind. But this reminder has given me the strength and courage needed to do what I need to do. Here’s the caption I shared last year—

July 13, 2023

Life is good, and my God is SO AMAZING! No matter how grim things may appear, or how discouraged you may become, know that God is still on the throne and is working behind the scenes. You will SMILE again. You will LAUGH again. You will LOVE again. You will LIVE a long prosperous (in ALL areas of life) life. Stay connected to God. I promise you, He will not fail you.♥️
