I spent my Fourth with my youngest sister. She drove over from Mobile, AL, for an event, and I got to hang out with her for the day. My heart was full, and so was my belly.😊
This is my sister, Sarah (IG link). She’s been a yoga teacher for about ten years.Receiving the cooling towels infused with essential oils was probably my favorite part of the session. It was well over 90° out there! I was HOT!😂I had not planned on participating in the session. I was only going to take pictures and watch. That was my plan… I couldn’t help but join in on the fun.😂This was my view from the mat. As you can see, it was a beautiful day.Hanging out after the session and enjoying the vibes and good music. Our Fourth of July meal. Curried goat and fixins.😋
Overall, my weekend has been great so far. I don’t have much planned for today. Guess I’ll mostly relax.☺️
I pray you have a beautiful Sunday. Be sure to relax too.♥️
Beginning my day and this new month with gratitude. God, thank You for allowing me to see another blessed day. Thank You for giving me 30 days of a beautiful birthday month. I know that I am loved and truly blessed.
As I enter the month of July, I’m speaking life and blessings over everything I touch and every space I enter. God, may Your presence and glory always precede me and remain for others to remember long after I’ve left their presence. Amen
As YOU enter July, remember to leave your worries behind. Know that God has you covered and It All Works Out.
God has you covered. Trust Him.
Wishing you blessings on top of blessings this month. Enjoy your day!♥️
Woke up feeling grateful and blessed. So many didn’t wake up this morning, but I did, and I don’t take this lightly. I’m so grateful for another opportunity to be a display of God’s glory. Y’all, I’m truly blessed.🌺
Stopped to take a quick birthday selfie before I headed home. I had a great weekend with my baby girl! I got to love on her, and she loved on me. Again, I’m so blessed.🥰
Today, if you find yourself wondering about what the future holds for you, I encourage you to trust God’s Guidance, Timing, and Process. He knows what your future holds because He already has it planned.
Now, breathe…
Wishing you a wonderful day and beautiful week. You deserve both!♥️
Why does God put so many desires and dreams in our hearts only for us to have to choose which ones to fulfill in our lifetime?
Long, long, long sigh…
If you’ve been following me for at least three years or more, you may have noticed that I don’t mind pivoting to follow wherever my passions take me. I truly don’t.
As I look back over my life, I have always followed some passion of mine. From the military to culinary to dietetics to research to advocacy—haven’t even mentioned my creative side—I’m forever following a passion. It’s like I can’t stop. Ugh…
This morning, I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to connect all of my passions. And y’all, I have MANY! Every single passion I’ve ever had still lies within me. I mean everysingle one.
I must find a way to connect them all.
Yesterday, my daughter’s fiancé took me to tour his new workplace. The last company he worked for had a phenomenal space—it was so nice. I loved the warm and inviting atmosphere. However, this new company has the kind of environment I always longed to work in. From the outdoor spaces to the break areas to the artwork and creative spaces, I was on cloud nine. It wasn’t just the space, but the technology aspects of it all. Y’all, I’m a low-key techie and their setup made my day.
Side note: Since eighth grade, I’ve been in love with coding and technology. Even before then, I was designing flying cars and preparing to live in outer space. I was so ready for this era. At least I thought I was.😅
During the tour, I took a moment to sit in that space, to be in that atmosphere, to take it all in.
There has to be a way for me to do everything I desire to do. I just know there is! God wouldn’t have put all of this in me just for it to remain inside of me. Laughing because He knows I love a challenge, and I believe this one is going to be my biggest yet. I have to create something that will incorporate all of my passions, desires, and dreams.
Here are a few pictures from my tour. I just loved the art. And they had Scrabble games, books, puzzles, and creative spaces everywhere. Y’all, I was on cloud nine, for real.
My kind of world…
Anyhoo… here’s today’s inspiration— In God’s Strength— “God’s strength will take you much further than your own.”
Today, I’m tapping into God’s strength for real because ain’t no way I’m leaving this world without doing every single thing I desire to do!!
This journey of mine is an adventure indeed, and I’m loving every moment of it.
Been singing Donald Lawrence’s song “I Speak Life” for the past 30 minutes or so, so I decided to share the song.
The song says—
I speak life. You’re gonna live, oh, my brother, my sister. I speak life. You are the head and not the tail you will prevail. I speak life. Don’t give up the fight for your life. You shall live and not die.
Today we celebrate our wonderful fathers and father figures who continue to make a difference in our lives as well as the lives of others.
Fathers…
Your love, wisdom, guidance, and sacrifices haven’t gone unnoticed. We see your heart and value your presence. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for being YOU!

On April 20, 2026, I shared the following in my post, “My Journey With God, No. 141”—
“I didn’t want to stop posting at Day 1800—I loved the challenge of seeing how far I could go—but I needed to set an endpoint.”
Now, here I am on the other side of the “endpoint,” as I called it—which, by the way, never happened at Day 1800. I’m laughing because to stop posting wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I woke up every morning after my deadline and kept posting like clockwork. However, on Day 1811 (April 30) I finally ended the streak. Yep… some time around 11:00 PM on April 30th, I made it official. I stopped blogging, disconnected from every social media outlet, including YouTube, and took a much needed break.
For weeks it was just me, those in my close circle and actual presence, and God. Taking the month off was one of the best decisions I’d ever made. It was the most peaceful time I had had in years. It was long overdue.
On June 1st, I returned to blogging and my daily count restarted at Day 1.
So, how did I feel about starting over?
Honestly, I picked back up as if I had never taken a break. The daily count was just a number—that’s all. Ending my streak of posting daily for almost five years didn’t feel like the loss I thought it would. It was just time…
And time continued while I wasn’t blogging. It was the experiences that took place during my break that truly mattered. Nothing was lost from not posting daily. Actually, much more was gained. I became more focused. Conversations were more engaging. Quality time was actually quality time. My time with God increased tremendously. I was able to block out the outside noises and hear from Him, and only Him. And in addition to all of that, I got to love on me more. Yessss! I needed it!
As I said, time is just time. It’s what we do within the time we’re given that truly matters most.
This is all for now. Will talk to you again soon. Have a wonderful day!♥️
I love you,
Shaun
