Been singing Donald Lawrence’s song “I Speak Life” for the past 30 minutes or so, so I decided to share the song.
The song says—
I speak life. You’re gonna live, oh, my brother, my sister. I speak life. You are the head and not the tail you will prevail. I speak life. Don’t give up the fight for your life. You shall live and not die.
Woke up to my first scheduled posts on Shaun’s Daily Inspiration displaying incorrectly on the reader’s feed. After Googling how to remove the statement that was attached to the post (was supposed to be the post’s text) and going through the process of removing it, this was what I ended up with…
It took me over an hour to get everything straight (ran into another issue while using the code editor). Very long sigh…
This is a screenshot of the feed after the post was republished…
Now, here’s what’s currently displayed…
Whew!!! Smiling as I write, y’all, THIS is my life. Gotta love it!
Here’s today’s post.
Greatness
There’s greatness inside of you. You may not see it yet, but so many others do. In the right light, you’ll see it too. Signed and sealed with love,…
I added a reflection section, “Let’s Pause & Reflect,” at the end of the post. After the morning I’ve had, I guess I’ll be the first to finish the following statement:
“I didn’t always see it, but one great thing about me is …”
Y’all, one great thing about me is that my level of patience is extremely high.
I have been told many times that I have a lot of patience, especially by my older people, but I see it as me providing them with assistance or doing my job.
Today I saw that patience… or maybe it’s persistence. Having an “Aha” moment.
Thinking about several matters I worked on over the past few weeks, even yesterday—my birthday, and even moments ago (just got off a call)—I refuse to stop until an issue is resolved. So maybe it’s a little bit of both, patience and persistence.
Anyhoo… This problem is somewhat resolved. I still need to play around with a few more things to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
By the way, today’s Quote of the Day has posted, so I guess I’ll include it too. Honestly, it’s very fitting for this moment—
“This is your moment. Seize the opportunity to be great.” –Eric Thomas
And I did!😊
Sooo… how’s your day going so far?😅
I hope it’s going great and has been less eventful. Talk to you later!♥️
Ending the night and the final few minutes of Year52 with gratitude.
Thank You, Lord, for allowing me to have a beautifully blessed year. Thank You for covering me. Thank You for loving me. I’m so very grateful. So blessed.🙏🏽
Y’all, God is so good. Never take His love, kindness, mercy, or grace for granted. They’re given freely. Please receive them.
Above is the post I made not to long ago. It’s my answer to one of the Daily Prompts. I’ve been awake for a couple of hours. Nothing’s wrong, just preparing for the day/week. I’ve finally learned to work with my internal clock not against it. I’m my most productive during the wee hours of the morning, so why keep fighting it? Smile
I’ve been thinking a lot about a theme for my 53rd birthday year (Year53). I always set one right before or on my birthday. However, I believe I’m not going to set one this year. I’m just going to let Year53 be what it will be.
Anyhoo…
I’m about to rollover and go back to sleep before my real day gets started. But before I do, I just want to thank God for life—for my life. I am truly blessed. Amen
Singing Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ song, “Wake Up Everybody.” The song says—
Wake up, everybody No more sleepin’ in bed No more backward thinkin’ Time for thinkin’ ahead The world has changed so very much From what it used to be There is so much hatred War and poverty
The world won’t get no better If we just let it be, The world won’t get no better We gotta change it, yeah Just you and me
“Wake Up Everybody” was written over 50 years ago and the message is still relevant today. We need more people to wake up! Today is Juneteenth (click the “Juneteenth” link to learn more) and so many people still don’t know they’re free.
Empowered people must continue to inform and empower others. Together, we can change the world.
“Time is just time. It’s what we do within the time we are given that matters most.” –Moi😊
On April 20, 2026, I shared the following in my post, “My Journey With God, No. 141”—
“I didn’t want to stop posting at Day 1800—I loved the challenge of seeing how far I could go—but I needed to set an endpoint.”
Now, here I am on the other side of the “endpoint,” as I called it—which, by the way, never happened at Day 1800. I’m laughing because to stop posting wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I woke up every morning after my deadline and kept posting like clockwork. However, on Day 1811 (April 30) I finally ended the streak. Yep… some time around 11:00 PM on April 30th, I made it official. I stopped blogging, disconnected from every social media outlet, including YouTube, and took a much needed break.
For weeks it was just me, those in my close circle and actual presence, and God. Taking the month off was one of the best decisions I’d ever made. It was the most peaceful time I had had in years. It was long overdue.
On June 1st, I returned to blogging and my daily count restarted at Day 1.
So, how did I feel about starting over?
Honestly, I picked back up as if I had never taken a break. The daily count was just a number—that’s all. Ending my streak of posting daily for almost five years didn’t feel like the loss I thought it would. It was just time…
And time continued while I wasn’t blogging. It was the experiences that took place during my break that truly mattered. Nothing was lost from not posting daily. Actually, much more was gained. I became more focused. Conversations were more engaging. Quality time was actually quality time. My time with God increased tremendously. I was able to block out the outside noises and hear from Him, and only Him. And in addition to all of that, I got to love on me more. Yessss! I needed it!
As I said, time is just time. It’s what we do within the time we’re given that truly matters most.
This is all for now. Will talk to you again soon. Have a wonderful day!♥️
I love you,
Shaun
The countdown has officially begun. Less than a week away! Year53 is loading…🥰
In a world that’s not always a happy place to be, please be intentional about finding happy moments. Whether it’s in a smile, a hug, or beautiful memories—find those moments and hold them dearly.
I briefly logged onto X and saw posts celebrating the Obama Presidential Center. I’m so grateful those posts were the first to greet me. Those posts are what I consider happy moments. If you’re not busy, be sure to tune in tomorrow, June 18th, to watch the official dedication of the presidential center. I’m sure it will be live streaming on different platforms and channels. It’s a moment in history that cannot be missed. I know the spirits of our forefathers will be there with their blessings.
Happy moments…
I pray you have a beautifully blessed day. May it be filled with lots of love, joy, and peace.♥️
I love you,
Shaun
**Happy Birthday, Deborah! You know I couldn’t forget you. Wishing you so many blessings. Enjoy your day!🌺🎉💕🙏🏽
