Making Memories

Shaun’s Journal Entry: December 18, 2021

“There is no such thing as perfect timing. Make memories now.”

I shared this image when I posted the quote on TikTok (December 18, 2021).

I selected the song “Good Memories” by Cochren & Co. to accompany the image above. It’s a lovely song that brings back so many sweet memories. I hope it brightens your day as it has mine.♥️ ~Shaun

Here’s the song’s video.

In God’s Hands

Breathe….

You are in God’s hands. You’re covered. Right now, I can hear Marvin Sapp singing, “He Has His Hands On You.”

Marvin begins his song with these words—

“A lot of us in this house tonight, we are on the potter’s wheel right now and it’s not comfortable. It doesn’t feel good. But we need to just take solace in the fact that even though it may not feel good right now, as long as I’m in His hands I know that everything is going to be alright.” –Marvin Sapp

In God’s hands is such a wonderful place to be. After I shared my last post, “My Journey With God, No. 38,” God led me to read my journal entry written two years after I made the Facebook post (see previous post for reference—the journal entry date was December 18, 2020). After reading that entry, I heard, “There’s life after heartbreak.” He went on to show me a few other things. Things that gave me a sense of peace and hope.

This is what happens when we’re in God’s hands, when we’re covered. He will always send comfort, we just have to be open to receive it. And what I love about God—because He’s had to do this with me many of times—is that He doesn’t force us to receive the comfort when it’s offered. Instead, He holds it until we are ready to receive it. Today, I needed comforting after I saw that Facebook memory. God knew I was open to receive it, so He gave it to me. Beyond Blessed

Despite how crazily unpredictable life can become, I know that God has me covered. I am in His hands.

And so are you!♥️

Love you always,

Shaun

Today’s A New Day

Good Morning!☀️

Today’s a new day—a fresh start. It’s an opportunity to do things better than I did yesterday. Today, I will be kind to myself, and I will give myself grace and space to be human…because I am human.☺️

On another note…

I will be changing my posting schedule to allow for a few more hours of sleep. For years, my most productive time has been early morning, so my current schedule worked. However, now that I have more activities scheduled throughout the day, I must make sure I have enough energy and rest to accomplish them. I’m not as young as I used to be (I’m just facing the facts) and need to adjust accordingly. I must be able to perform at my best at all times. No half-stepping!

Well, this is all I have for now. Thank you for reading. I’m not sure what my new posting schedule will look like, just know that there will always be a “Good Morning” post because I love good mornings.

Love you!♥️

Be Obedient

Good Morning!☀️

A few months ago, I was given a specific date to take another leap into the unknown. As time crept closer to me taking that leap, I kept playing around with the date until one day when I heard loud and clear, “That’s the date.” I was like, “Okay, I hear You, God,” and did what was asked. I was told that delaying what was asked of me would delay what He was trying to do for me. I took the leap even though I didn’t know and still don’t know how things will work out. I’m not sure what He has in store, but the atmosphere did change as soon as I leaped. Honestly, it changed when I decided to be obedient, which was before I actually leaped.

Be obedient and take the leap! As Pastor Joel Osteen said nine years ago, God will not ask you to give up something without giving you something better in return.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

I’m laughing at myself because I could’ve cropped this more. I just like seeing the “9 years ago.”☺️

God’s Plan

On this day last year, I shared the following on Facebook—

“Everything always works according to God’s plan, and it always works out better than you imagined. Trust His plan.”

Shared on December 4, 2023

If you’re like me, you have absolutely no idea of what God’s plan entails. So, all you can do is trust Him. With that being said, I do and always will believe that His plans for our lives are greater than anything we’ve ever imagined. I believe this.

Now, let go and trust Him. He’s got you!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

You Choose

I couldn’t choose which Facebook memory to share, so please choose the one that resonates most with you at this moment.

Facebook Memory #1: November 27, 2022

Stay focused!

Facebook Memory #2: November 27, 2023

Keep smiling!

At the moment, they are both significant. Right now, I’m all smiles, and as you know, smiles are quite contagious. So, even though we are miles apart, I hope you are smiling. As for staying focused, I am definitely focused.♥️

How about you? Which did you choose?

You’re Already Prepared & Equipped

Grateful🙏🏽

I shared the message above weeks after taking my second major leap (April 2021). My first leap was joining the Air Force—both decisions were spontaneous and life-changing. Before the second leap, God assured me that I was covered and had everything I needed to create the life I desired. It took me a minute to grasp that I really had everything I needed. Well, today, I realize that I do.

Listen, don’t wait to start! You are already equipped and prepared to begin creating the life you desire, now!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Praying For You

Shared last year, November 13, 2023, with the following caption: “Sending up prayers for every single soul on this planet. Yes… Every. Single. Soul. Including YOU!

Guess what?! If you’re reading this, I just prayed for you. Well… I am praying for you as I write. Smile

Remember this, YOU are loved, and someone is praying for you.♥️

Love you,

Obedience Matters

Good Morning!☀️

Yesterday, I wrote, “God has spoken. He has already advised you on what needs to be done, next. Now it’s up to you to respond accordingly.”

Well, a portion of that message was taken from a caption I had shared the year before (October 29, 2023). Let’s just say I created a better graphic and repurposed the caption. Smile. Although I made it a bit cuter, the message was still the same, and it was actually for me. Yep! That message was for me.

You see, a few weeks ago, I received very specific instructions from God about something I needed to do. I followed through, but only to a certain extent. What I failed to do was follow through with confidence. So, afterwards, I was easily persuaded to modify what I was told to fit someone else’s plan. Well, almost daily, I kept hearing I needed to be obedient and do what I was told.

Fast forward to yesterday—after coming across my Facebook memory about already hearing what God had said and needing to respond accordingly, I did just that. I did what I was originally advised to do, and when I did, the person responded that God had already given them that same message. Hmmm…

Listen, be obedient. You don’t have to know why you’re being asked to do something, just do it. Just be obedient.♥️

Love you,

Shaun
