How God Works

Wanted to provide an update to this morning’s blog. This is how God usually works in my life.

So, after showering and getting dressed, and working – Yes… haven’t stopped working since I woke up, I promise to stop soon – I watched a YouTube video by Sarah Jakes Roberts, Hey You, Process.

This is what I mean by, “How God Works.” This particular video was shared over a year ago; however, it was the first video when I opened YouTube. What I know about God, no matter what the title or who made the video, when I’m in need, the very first video is for ME. I know it sounds crazy but this is how things work in my life. If it’s not a video, it’s a message, song or something that’s exactly what I need. Well… this particular video was EXACTLY what I needed. She opened with, “We need to acknowledge that we need to take off our cape from time to time.” Listen, THIS is why I love God. THIS is why I always say that I love the way He loves me. Tears

Y’all, I am so blessed.

Grateful♥️

Wednesday Writings

A few moments ago, I liked a tweet that said, “In this very moment, my life is perfect.”

Hmmm…

In this very moment, my life is muddled.

Yep..

Right now.

In this very moment.

Muddled.

It’s kind of difficult to explain. I feel somewhat detached and alienated from the world. I can hear people saying, “Hush, don’t tell anyone how you really feel. Keep that to yourself. You’ll get over it.” And I will get over it. I always do. However, in this very moment, this is my life and this is how I feel. Honestly, I’m not even sure how I got to this point. My goal was to block out distractions and focus on my business; but it seems like the more I do, the more I feel alone.

Today is my designated wellness day. I believe I need to take it. No work.

Why did my heart just drop when I wrote “no work”? It’s like I cannot afford not to do anything. Ugh!

But, yes, today I just need to be. Wish I could go on a picnic or to the beach. I need to be one with nature. I need to really connect with God, and I can’t do it from where I am. Plus, today it’s too rainy and too cold to be outside. Sigh

Anyhoo..

I’ll talk to y’all tomorrow. I promise it will be something uplifting. Enjoy your day.♥️

Be Encouraged

I can hear William Becton and choir singing–

“Be encouraged, no matter what’s going on. He’ll make it alright, but you gotta stay strong.”

Just Ask God for Help

Wanted to share a quick lesson I learned a little while ago – Just ask God for help. Sounds simple, right? However, when you are determined to do things on your own, because you know you have the knowledge and skills to do them, the last thing you want to do is bother God by asking Him for help.

Short story…

I consider myself somewhat computer savvy. I’ve been fascinated with the computers and computer programming since learning how to do simple coding in the eighth grade (yes, students were coding almost 40 years ago). Well, yesterday, I was working on something so simple. Something that shouldn’t have taken longer than 30 minutes to complete, yet it took me hours. Actually, it’s the next day and I just figured out where I was going wrong. And this only happened after I said a little prayer asking God for help. When I tell you it happened instantaneously! Tears

Funny how I assumed I could do it on my own. And I’m not saying that I couldn’t have because the process was so simple. But I had worked on the problem for so long that my head and eyes were aching. I had to force myself to go to sleep earlier this morning, only to wake up three hours later trying to figure it out.

Okay.. side note.. so if I’m engrossed in something, especially trying to solve a problem, I don’t stop until it’s solved or come up with a similar solution. Sometimes I don’t eat. Sometimes I don’t sleep. It’s a habit that I thought I kicked over the last two years, but evidently it’s just been dormant. It’s definitely an unhealthy habit that cannot continue.

Now that the problem is solved, I think I’ll get some rest. God is good.
