Celebrating 1,500 Consecutive Days Of Posting

Yes, today is Day 1,500 of nonstop posting!🎉

When I reached 1,400 days of posting, I mentioned that I wanted to do something special to commemorate my 1,500th day. So, I decided to create an Instagram account for Shaun’s Daily Inspiration.

For my 1,000th day, I created a YouTube channel for Shaun’s Daily Inspiration, which allowed me to incorporate music into my posts. However, I had to create Shorts to do so. With Instagram, I can add music to my posts without having to create a reel or story, and I love it! As you’ll see in the video below, I’ve also updated the look of my graphics.

As you can see, my new look is the overall look on the landing page. However, I also kept the old look (with my artwork)—those can be found under my “Tags.”

I always say I absolutely love the way God loves me, and I do!! I was beyond excited when I discovered my 1,500th day of posting fell on the day before my birthday. Who knew?! What a beautiful gift to me. I am truly beyond blessed.🌺🥰

Less Than Two Days Until Year52!

I’m back home! Had a wonderful time with my baby girl. The festivities began as soon as I arrived on Thursday, and by Friday evening, I was exhausted. Yesterday (Saturday), I asked if we could skip the plans and just hang out and go with the flow, and she was okay with that. Y’all, she had many more activities planned.

Here’s a brief recap of the past few days.

Thursday

I love a good baseball game, but only in person. I’m not a fan of watching it on TV. That evening, the Atlanta Braves played the New York Mets and won!🏆

Friday

On Friday, my daughter’s fiancé took me on a tour of his workplace before we went shopping. He works in tech support, and the view from his workspace is quite nice.

We finished the evening by visiting two of my favorite places to eat.

Saturday

My daughter made breakfast on Saturday morning. Afterwards, we hung out for a while and watched the latest episodes of Love Island USA. She loves reality shows. I just can’t get into them. Anyhoo… It was too hot to do anything else. However… we did walk down to a Brisket and Bourbon event they were having and picked up a rib plate and some cinnamon rolls.☺️

Then, last night, we had dinner at Culinary Dropout, a restaurant they had wanted to take me to during previous visits, but we never managed to visit it. I’m glad I finally went. The food was good.

This morning, I had a yogurt parfait and a BBQ rib for breakfast. That was all I needed before I left. I’m not sure what I’ll do tomorrow. We shall see.🥰

Hello Sunday

God’s got us.

First, I want to start by saying I love you. You deserve to hear it first, not last. Times are stranger than ever, BUT GOD. Resist the urge to panic. Panicking only causes destruction and further devastation. Remain calm but prepare for the worst while also planning for the best. I know it’s easier said than done, but it can be done.

At this moment, many of my fellow veterans are experiencing PTSD. We’ve been here before. Last night, I was explaining to my daughter everything I would have been doing at this moment as it related to her. Being stationed in Turkey was scary at times. While everyone was living it up stateside, without a care in the world, we were being careful about our every move on and off base. Anything could happen at any time. We knew this. We lived it daily.

When I first arrived in Turkey, within 30 days, I had to have an emergency evacuation plan for my daughter in case there was a possible attack. I was a 24-year-old single mom in a new country where I knew no one but my three year old. Within the first week, I had made friends with someone I trusted enough to accompany my baby girl back home to my mom or sister. I didn’t know her or her husband, but I had to trust God enough to trust them with my child. I was on edge with every threat of an attack. However, I did not live in constant fear of what could or may not have happened. Instead, I did what most military families are doing right now and that’s banding closer together. It was my military family who made stressful situations, calm.

Right now, I’m praying for our troops (all branches). God, please give them peace and calm their hearts. Let them know that You are with them. For all others, including us veterans, please do the same—calm our fears and give us a sense of peace.

That’s all I have for now. I’m about to get dressed and go love on my baby girl a little more before I head home. I’ve had a wonderful time with her. I feel so refreshed!

TWO MORE DAYS!!🎉 And yes, I’m still excited about my upcoming birthday. God’s got me. He’s got us!♥️
