Your presence is necessary. Keep showing up…and shining! (Image from April 1, 2022)
Each season comes with its own assignments, successes and challenges. We may not understand them or their significance; however, we must see them through.
Please remember this, where you are in this present moment is where you are meant to be. It may or may not be where you desire to be, but it’s where you need to be. There are opportunities, lessons, and protection that only this season can provide. Right now your job is to keep showing up. Show up fully and SHINE!
I am a living witness that the saying is true, it is always darkest before dawn. I will never understand why, but it is. However, despite our darkest experiences, there’s great news! Nothing and/or no onehas the power to stop God’s purpose for our lives. Nope… not at all. Instead of focusing on our pains, disappointments, hurts, and setbacks, let’s keep our heads up and stay focused on the Son (smile). Brighter days are coming.♥️ ~Shaun
No matter what you are going through or what things may look like, remember God has the final say. Keep your head up and keep going because it is not over until God says it’s over. Can’t you hear Maurette Brown Clark singing, “It ain’t over, til God says it’s over. … Keep fighting until the victory is won.” Well, I surely can. Smile (It Ain’t Over)
One quote, two captions. Both messages were too good not to share. As we know, movement is necessary for advancement and growth. All we have to do is take the first step. God will do the rest.

Good Morning! Here’s today’s social media find. Just move. Even if you have to crawl, MOVE. Sometimes I find myself spending more time on contemplating my next move than actually moving. I’m not going to lie, it’s my fear of failure and things not being perfect. However, when I do move (doing something as simple as picking up a pen and paper), wonderful things begin to happen. Just MOVE and watch God work! He’s so AMAZING!

I’m learning this more and more. Take the first step and God will do the rest. I’m not going to lie, taking the first step isn’t always easy. Sometimes you have to take it afraid and sometimes you have to take it alone. However, in the long run, you’ll look back and realize it was all worth it.
Well, that’s all I have right now. Wishing you a fabulous week! Listen, life is too wonderful and too short to sit still and watch it pass by. Get moving. Take that first step!
Y’all, we are only two weeks away from the glorious 2024! Yes, I am referring to it as glorious because 6/24 is my birthday month as well as my 51st birthday. How cool is that! Looking forward to every wonderful thing God has planned for me. It’s going to be a great year!
Here’s a caption from one of last year’s Facebook memories along with the Hello Sunday post I shared with it.

Only 2 weeks left in 2022!🎉
Whatever happened or didn’t happen this year, was meant to be. If you’re human like me, I know you celebrated your wins, even the small ones. But your losses, disappointments and setbacks… How did you cope – or attempt to cope – when things didn’t quite go as planned?
Me– I leaned on God a little more. I’m so grateful for His love, mercy and grace.♥️
There is nothing comparable to God’s love, mercy, and grace. He’s so amazing.
Y’all, self-love is everything, but God’s love will always, always, always reign supreme. I just love the way He loves me. If you do not already have a strong relationship with God, I suggest you build one. There is absolutely nothing like it—nothing like it! I cannot stress it enough, I am truly blessed.
Praying you have a peacefully, blessed week. Whatever goals you set for 2023 can still happen! Don’t let the countdown to the new year stop you from achieving as much as you can. You got this!
Be patient. Everything will happen at its appointed time.♥️
It will happen.
No matter how long you have waited, keep waiting. It is better to wait for God’s best than settle for less and then try to mold what you settled for into God’s best. It doesn’t work that way. I don’t know about you, but I would rather wait for God’s best knowing that everything He has for me is only for me. Yes… ONLY for me.
My advice—be patient and wait on God. Allow Him to lead. He hasn’t forgotten about you. Remember, He is always working and everything will happen when it is time. Believe me, nothing or no one can stop it.
You CAN and WILL achieve everything you set out to do. Please do not allow where you currently are to discourage from even trying. God believes in you so why not believe in yourself.
Maybe your current situation doesn’t reflect what you envisioned so you feel a need to give up. Please don’t. Work through the uncomfortable moments. God would not have given you the dream if it couldn’t be achieved. You are already equipped to make it happen.♥️ ~ Shaun
I owe it to my five year old self to become who I imagined I would and could be, plus more. I must keep going.♥️
Short story…
I was so proud of my afro! I wanted an afro so badly, but my hair was too long and too fine to stand up. So, I cried and cried until my mom gave in. Y’all, against everything she wanted to do knowing she would be scolded by older adults, she cut my hair. She cut my hair so I could have a fro. It was perfect… until I messed it up. Shaking my head
As every kid does on picture day, I played with my hair before picture time. I don’t know why they don’t take pictures first thing in the mornings. If you look very closely to the right of the picture, buried in my fro is a red flower that my mom had placed in my hair. It was hidden by the time I took my picture. Listen, you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t cute and picture ready. Baby, I was clean! Laughing. That meant looking good back in the 70s. Good memories.
Thanks for reading. I pray that you are or have become everything your five year old self imagined you could and would be. Have a blessed day!
