The Process, Obedience, and Timing

The posts I’ve shared over the last three years on this date are all true and interdependent. Trusting the process—God’s process—requires both our obedience and our trust in His timing. All three!♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Passion

There is no passion to be found playing small—in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. –Nelson Mandela

Follow your passion…

and stop playing small.

Never settle for less than your worth (you’re worth so much more than you know). You only have ONE life. Live it out fully!♥️

Love you always,

Second Chances

The song of the hour—or the day—because I have been singing it for a few hours now is “Second Chance” by Hezekiah Walker. The song says—

Show me
All of my wrongs
Forgive me
And make strong
Oh Save me
Restore my song
For You’re the God of a second chance

You gave me
A second chance
You forgave me like only You can
You gave me
A second chance

Lyrics: LyricFind

Y’all, God is so good. I’m so thankful for second, third, fourth, and even 100 chances. Sometimes, He gives me more chances than I can count to get things right. I can’t express enough how grateful and blessed I am that He loves me.

By the way, nothing major is going on. It’s the little things He’s been working with me on that I don’t always get right. Most of the time, I don’t pay much attention to them until He says, “Look, you’re going to keep going through this cycle until you get this right.” Today, I had one of those moments. Sometimes, it’s not the things we consider significant that keep us from moving ahead. Often, it’s the small things we keep ignoring that are most important. We must remember that those small things are always connected to something greater.

I am forever grateful for God’s love, mercy, kindness, patience (boy, is He patient☺️), and grace. I am blessed.♥️

Obedience To God Leads To Abundance

Obedience to God leads to an abundance of blessings, including the intangible—peace, love, and joy—which cannot be bought. Life tends to flow easier when obedient.

May your world be filled with an abundance of blessings. You deserve them.♥️

I love you much,

Trust In God

The song of the morning is The Winans’ “Trust in God.” The song says—

Just look up
tomorrow’s sun
will let you know
your life’s not done.
Just look around
loves pouring down.
Trust in God.

Trust in God.

I love you!♥️

My Journey With God, No. 79

I began this morning with a note from my past self telling my future self (me today) that she loves me. See my last post, “I Love You.” Well, the messages to myself didn’t stop there. My morning inspiration also came from my past writings.

I was scrolling through my photos, and this one caught my eye.

I’m listening, God.

It dawned on me that the reason I haven’t completely embraced where God is taking me is because I’ve been resisting it. I’ve been running. Not intentionally, but I have. I shared the image/quote on March 8, 2024, and here’s the blog post I shared it in—

Stop Running (March 8, 2024)

Here’s one of my Facebook Memories from a year ago.

Facebook Memory: March 8, 2023

“It’s not even mid-morning and I have a message:

Stop running from what you’re called to do and where you are called to be. God will equip you with everything you need when you need it. Trust Him.♥️”

Well…

It’s time to stop running. You already know what you are called to do. Time to do it!

Don’t worry. God’s got you.♥️

Ha! Little did I know what God had planned. And sure enough, I have been running. Today, because I must, I have to stop running, stop resisting, and embrace where God’s taking me.

I’m listening, God.🙏🏽

God Is So Amazing

Just when you are about to give up, He nudges you to hold on just a little longer. Then, He steps in and makes everything alright.

I am so grateful and blessed that He loves me.♥️

My Journey With God, No. 78

For the past two days I have been seeing and hearing the message—“Be still.”

Honestly, I didn’t think that I was moving at all. I’ve been feeling like I haven’t been moving or doing enough. You know how you get the feeling that you should be further along than you are, the feeling of being behind? Well, that’s exactly what I’ve been feeling lately.

A few minutes ago, I revisited my Facebook memories and found the same message tucked away within another message. Earlier, I only noticed “Finding Balance.” However, this time, I noticed the hashtag “Be Still.”

Being obedient.

I’m listening, God.🙏🏽
