I’m just going to sit this right here for the universe to see. I’m not too old, and I still believe that what I saw will be.🙏🏽
Five years ago, when Bishop T. D. Jakes asked us to tweet the title we wanted to hold, I posted the first ones that came to mind—Diplomat, Liaison, and Ambassador. Although I may not officially hold either of those titles, I am already stepping into those roles on a smaller level. One day, I will walk the halls of the Palais des Nations (it has to be Geneva, Switzerland) as one of the three. Of course, God may say otherwise; however, I do not believe He would have given me the vision and dream if they were impossible to achieve.
Every year, I share this memory of where Shaun’s Daily Inspiration began. In 2018, I didn’t know it would evolve into what it has become. I didn’t even have a name for it then. Today, I use my drawings as backgrounds for about 95% of my quotes, and most of my quotes are original. I don’t know where God is taking me with this or It’s Shaun’s World, but I am joyfully following along. This is what I love doing.♥️🌺
Listen, DO NOT give up! I know it seems like you’ve been working towards your dreams for ages, and the closer you get to them, the farther you have to go. Believe me, I get it. I am right there with you. But guess what we’re not going to do? We are not going to give up or settle for less than God’s best for our lives. Instead, we are going to keep going. Yes, we are going to keep going until we see our dreams come true.
Here are two posts that just gave me the boost I needed this morning. I hope they inspire and motivate you.
Facebook Memory: January 6, 2019
The “social media find” that accompanied the Facebook memory.
A Facebook post that randomly showed up on my feed this morning.☺️
THIS!!! I may be 51, but my life is far from over, and my dreams are still possible. I must keep going!
When I tell you God’s messages are always on time. This is why I allow Him to lead.
My Facebook memory reminded me of how far I’ve come in ten years. Y’all, 2015 was a beast! My entire life fell apart that year, and I nearly lost everything (I still had my babies) however, I made it! I’m still here and much further along than before things fell apart. Yes, life is so much better. Also, randomly seeing Mel Robbins’ post on my feed was all God—ALL God.
Y’all, I am so grateful God loves me enough to keep me motivated and encouraged. That He won’t let me give up on my dreams or settle where I am, even when I want to.🥰
By the way, I’m going to go back and follow Mel. I have been listening to her podcasts for over a year or so now but haven’t followed her on social media.
Well, this is all I have at the moment. Thank you for reading. I really do appreciate you. Sending prayers your way for a wonderful day.♥️
Love you,
Shaun
** Saw this in my journal entry (January 6, 2023) and thought I’d share it too:
“What you say to yourself dictates the course of your life.” –Bishop T. D. Jakes
Matthew 6:34 (NIV) –“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Staying present.♥️
Bonus share—
Today, I have posted 1331 days in a row. What was once a struggle is now like second nature. Not sure where God is taking “It’s Shaun’s World,” but I do know it’s connected with His purpose. Feeling honored and blessed.😌
Saw this quote and thought I’d share it with my natural nurturers—those who can’t help but love on others and put them first.
“This year, your assignment is you. Water you.” – femalempire.co
As the quote says, we are the assignment this year and must water ourselves. Whatever we’ve poured into others in the past, we must now pour into ourselves. This doesn’t mean we’re being selfish or will love others any less. It just means we are making our purposes, dreams, and aspirations a priority so they can finally grow. It’s our time to flourish.♥️
I was scrolling down one of my pages and saw this message I shared in 2023.
Today’s message is—
Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you start creating the life you’ve always imagined. Do it now! Block out the noise, fears, and doubts, and start today!
Remember, you’ve already taken the limits off yourself and God, so what are you waiting for? You got this!
So, this year is already starting differently. I decided to watch something I believed would set the tone for this year. Well, what I wasn’t expecting was the tone I received. Laughing because I thought I was watching something that would empower me, but instead, I was introduced to the kind of husband (yes, I’m getting married again) I desired. Y’all, I’m looking for my Jimmy Carter!
Talk about an “Aha” moment!
Before 2024 ended, I said I was going to focus on my personal life this year. Well, I guess this is the beginning.
When I think about it, Jimmy Carter was the kind of person I’ve been seeking since I knew what love was and could be. I mean, why not? He’s been my inspiration since I was in grade school. My purpose—to make this world a better place through love, hope, peace, kindness, and service—began with him. And his relationship with Rosalynn was what I’d always dreamed of having. So many doubt that kind of relationship and love is possible. However, I have never doubted it. I’ve always believed it to be possible. Because I truly believe in love.
Soooo… it’s been Jimmy all this time. Wow!
Here’s an Instagram trailer for the Hulu and Disney+ special I just watched—“Jimmy Carter: A Full Life.” Enjoy!♥️ ~Shaun
I shared the same image (Stay Humble) for two years with the same caption— “2023/2024 is loading… Stay Humble.”
Well, this year I have decided to switch it up. This year’s caption will read—
2025 is loading… Stay Covered.
Listen, 2025 is not the year to venture out without God covering your every move—from your words to your relationships to new endeavors. God knows and sees everything, including the thoughts, intentions, and hearts of others. So, please stay covered. Use your discernment. If it doesn’t feel right, it’s not right. Period. With that said, when God places an opportunity before you, and He says, “Take it, it’s yours,” don’t ask a million questions—take it!
I don’t know about you, but I can already tell that 2025 is going to be one eventful year—the roller coaster ride is loading. My plans are to follow the advice I gave above. I’m staying covered, using my discernment, seizing opportunities, and allowing God to lead.
Thank you for reading. I pray you have a wonderfully blessed day!♥️
