**So many are afraid right now. They’re not sure if they’ll have jobs in the upcoming weeks or if they’ll be able to afford food or medication. What’s happening is real. Please keep them in your prayers.🙏🏽
“Never give up on your dreams. You’re still breathing, so your dreams are still possible.”
When I shared the image and caption above on Instagram and YouTube, I included Yolanda Adams’ song “Never Give Up.” The song says (Lyrics: LyricFind)—
Visions that can change the world Trapped inside an ordinary girl She looks just like me To afraid to dream out loud
And though it’s set for your idea It won’t make sense to everybody You need courage now If you’re going to persevere
To fulfill your divine purpose You’ve gotta answer when you’re called So don’t be afraid to face the world Against all odds
Keep the dream alive don’t let it die, if something deep inside Keeps inspiring you to try, don’t stop And never give up; don’t ever give up on you Don’t give up
When I tell you this last year has been about full-circle moments! Last June, I began serving my second term as president-elect for my state’s dietetics association (the first time was in 2015). Back in November, I was reconnected with someone I wanted to work on a project with ten years ago. Today, we are working on a similar project that’s even better than the one I envisioned. Then, last night, I attended an event and connected with someone who could possibly help me with another project I wanted to work on ten years ago.
Y’all, I had given up on both projects—projects that were part of my dream—but God said not so!
Despite the craziness happening right now, God is still bringing dreams to life. I can’t help but be in awe of Him!
Resting in God’s love is where you will find peace, love, joy, and contentment.♥️
Love you,
Shaun
Side Note: The song “Running Back to You” by Commissioned is playing over and over in my head, so you know I must share it. The message is—It’s time to stop running and find rest in God.♥️
This morning, I asked God how I would know what His BEST was for me, and He assured me that I would know. He gave me an example of how I asked for something very specific—not asked in a prayer, just a random ask (nothing intentional)—and it happened. He said that’s how I will recognize the BEST. It’s not something I will have to seek, second guess, or question if it’s the BEST, I will just know.
I will know.
Deep, huh? Smile
That’s all for now. Praying you a wonderful day and blessed week!♥️
Here’s a snippet of a message I shared on March 8, 2023, a few months before my 50th birthday—
The message is the same today as back then—it’s time to stop running!
God has placed a unique gift inside you that’s part of your purpose and calling. Whatever He’s called you to do—which will always be attached to serving others—Do it! As I have mentioned in past posts, things don’t have to be perfect or ideal for you to get started; however, it is important that you start and start now. Someone needs you, today!♥️
Since Facebook grouped these two stories together, I decided to share the Facebook memories from each one.
🙏🏽
Simple message, yet it is often difficult to do until all noise is blocked—both externally and internally.
All it takes is ONE decision for our entire life to change. What may seem like a small decision today could actually be one of the greatest decisions of our lifetime.
Message—
We must stay focused so when it’s time to make those life-changing decisions, we won’t hesitate to make them.♥️
Not only are you loved, but YOU are love. Yes, you are one of the truest definitions of love. You were divinely created to be so. Believe me, God wouldn’t have it any other way. The way you selflessly give and pour into others is unmatched. Your heart is pure, and your kindness is genuine. When you smile, others feel it. When you say, “I love you,” you mean it.
