Update: I Need To Get This Out …

Good Evening!✨

I wanted to share an update to this morning’s post, “I Need To Get This Out, Please Bear With Me.” In short, I’m feeling so much better. I decided to drive up for the funeral today instead of waiting until tomorrow. And I’m glad I did. As much as I wanted to be alone, I needed to be around family. I needed the love, laughs, and hugs. God is good.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! I needed them. Wishing you a peaceful, relaxing evening.🙏🏽♥️

Love you always,

Shaun

The Best: God’s Best

Good Morning☀️

Even though it may be tempting, now is not the time to settle for anything less than God’s best.

Can’t you hear Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers singing “The Best Is Yet To Come”? Well, I surely can. Smile. The song says—

God’s gonna really blow your mind
He’s gonna make it worth your time
For all of the trouble you’ve been through
The blessings doubled just for you

Guess what?
The best
Is yet to come …

You ain’t seen nothin’
You ain’t seen nothin’ yet

Listen, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Hang in there. The best—God’s best for YOU—is worth the wait.♥️

I love you,

Shaun

**On another note, this was too cute not to share. It’s an excerpt from my journal entry written on May 2, 2015—

“I took one of those FB quizzes about “what is your gift?” I got music. It said that you can channel a song for any occasion. Lord knows that’s true! Every morning and all through the day, a song is playing in my head. I actually mean- ALL day long!”

Well… it’s true. My life.☺️

I Believe

Always believe something wonderful will happen. Even when everything around you says it’s impossible, remember that all things are possible with God. He has the final say.

Believe!♥️

Love you forever,

God Knows

Good Morning☀️

On April 25, 2021, I wrote in my journal that I had made the following tweet that day—

“Sometimes the hardest thing to do is be obedient when you have your own agenda. When God instructs you to do something, do it. You don’t have to know why. Just do it!”

God knows what He’s doing. Even when things seem to be going awry, He knows. Our job is to trust Him.

Trust Him.

In the midst of chaos, pain, and confusion—trust Him.

It’s very easy to trust God when things are going well and going our way; however, can you fully trust Him when things aren’t?

Remember—

God knows…

He knows everything, the beginning, the middle, and the end—everything.

Trust Him.

I pray you have an exceptionally blessed day and weekend. May God’s glory shine so bright on you that others can’t help but notice your glow.♥️

I love you always,

Shaun

**Be obedient.

SHINE!🌟

God has blessed you with a beautiful gift that only YOU have been gifted, and the world needs it. So, don’t hide it. Let it shine—and let it shine brightly for the world to see.

In other words—

Let the world know that YOU ARE HERE!✨

SHINE!🌟

I love you always,

Shaun

Second Chances

The song of the hour—or the day—because I have been singing it for a few hours now is “Second Chance” by Hezekiah Walker. The song says—

Show me
All of my wrongs
Forgive me
And make strong
Oh Save me
Restore my song
For You’re the God of a second chance

You gave me
A second chance
You forgave me like only You can
You gave me
A second chance

Lyrics: LyricFind

Y’all, God is so good. I’m so thankful for second, third, fourth, and even 100 chances. Sometimes, He gives me more chances than I can count to get things right. I can’t express enough how grateful and blessed I am that He loves me.

By the way, nothing major is going on. It’s the little things He’s been working with me on that I don’t always get right. Most of the time, I don’t pay much attention to them until He says, “Look, you’re going to keep going through this cycle until you get this right.” Today, I had one of those moments. Sometimes, it’s not the things we consider significant that keep us from moving ahead. Often, it’s the small things we keep ignoring that are most important. We must remember that those small things are always connected to something greater.

I am forever grateful for God’s love, mercy, kindness, patience (boy, is He patient☺️), and grace. I am blessed.♥️

My Journey With God, No. 85

Yesterday, I shared the New King James Version of the Bible verse, Psalm 23:6, which uses the phrase “goodness and mercy.” However, not all versions of the Bible use the term “mercy.” Instead, some use “love”. Here is the New International Version (NIV) version of the same verse:

Psalm 23:6

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.”

Of course, I want God’s goodness and mercy to follow me all the days of my life; however, I also want His love to follow me. I never want to be without either of these—including the last part of the verse—“And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Oh, to have God’s goodness, mercy, and love with me every day and to live in His presence forever. What a beautiful gift!

I am truly blessed—beyond blessed.🥰

What’s Done In Love

What is done in love is done well. – Vincent van Gogh

I saw this mural earlier today and had to take a picture. Not only is it beautiful, but the quote is by one of my favorite artists, Vincent van Gogh. The quote is true—when something is done in love, it’s typically done well.💗

Here’s another message from earlier.

“Take a moment just for you.”

This one made me smile. I was doing just that—I was taking a moment for myself. God knows exactly what we need when we need it. Forever grateful and blessed.🥰

I pray that your Friday has been just as lovely as you are. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the day and a beautiful weekend.♥️

Love you,

Shaun
