The Good Times

Yesterday, I could not decide which Facebook memory to share so I didn’t share one. Well, instead of sharing my “Hello Sunday” on my social media accounts, I decided to share this memory. It’s a day later, but worth sharing.

Facebook Memory: January 21, 2023

Much too often we remember hurts and disappointments before we remember the good. Today, I encourage you to focus on the good times. The moments that made you smile and feel loved. Have a wonderful day.♥️

Always hold your good memories close and dear.

Praying you have a blessed day and joyful week. May God shower you with unexpected blessings.♥️

Love you,

Shaun

Obedience is Key

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

Been hearing this all day so I decided to share it.

When searching for the quote, “Only what you do for Christ will last,” multiple scriptures popped up along with lyrics from several songs. The scripture I used above appeared to be most commonly cited with the quote.

From what I gather from both—the scripture and the quote—what is seen, or done solely for others to see, is temporary. However, what is done from the heart—often in private—with pure intentions (like Christ), will last forever.

I pray that whatever I do pleases God and lasts forever. Amen

Being obedient is key.♥️

You Did It!

I see you and celebrate you! You did it!!

You know that thing

That thing you keep pursuing but just cannot seem to achieve.

That thing that has been nagging you for years, even decades, that your soul can’t seem to let be.

You know, that thing you were so close to achieving then something happened that threw everything off track…

Yeah… that thing.

Well, today, we are celebrating our (gotta include myself) wins in advance.

From here on, see yourself walking in everything you set out to achieve. Feel yourself in it! Yes, you had a few setbacks, but now you are finally there and pursuing other dreams. Pat yourself on the back because you did not give up. Nope. You were resilient. You hung in there and kept going. Now, you are there. YOU DID IT!♥️

Celebrate

Love you,

Shaun

You Are Loved

This Facebook memory is very short but so important to remember—You are loved. Even when you don’t feel it, know that you are loved. There are so many people who truly love you. Not for what you have, or what you can do or give. No, they love you for being YOU.

Facebook Memory: January 19, 2023

Never ever doubt that YOU are loved.♥️

And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, not even your own thoughts.

My mom used to end every call with “I love you.” One day, one of my younger sisters asked me why. She thought it was something we (me, my mom, and my sister right below me) did out of habit. However, that was not and is not the case. My mom started it when my sister and I were little girls. She said that we should never leave each other without saying “I love you” because we never knew if that would be our last time saying it. So when we say it, we actually mean it. It is something I also do with my children. We never leave each other or end calls without saying “I love you.” Now that my mom is gone, my younger siblings say it too.

So, when I end my posts with some variation of “I love you,” including the hearts, know that I am not just saying it out of habit. No, I truly mean it.

Listen, I love you and I don’t even know you. I love you because God loves you. I love you because you deserve love. I love you because you matter. I love you because I want what’s best for you. I love you because I want you to thrive. I love who you are now and who you are becoming. I love you just for being YOU. Not sure if you heard me but I LOVE YOU!❤️

Sending you soooo much love. Wishing you nothing but peace and joy.

God Is Still In Control

God is still in control. Trust Him to lead, even when you know think you can do things faster or better. Believe me you can’t. What I have learned from experience, and I am still learning, my interference never helps the situation. It just prolongs it. My advice (and you best believe this is a word for me too) step back, stand still, and watch God work.

Praying you have a wonderfully, blessed day. Love you!♥️ ~Shaun

I can hear Whitney Houston singing, “I Look To You.” Look to God. He holds the answers.
