As we know, life will always be lifeing. Just know that you can handle any and everything thrown your way. And when things become a bit too much for you to handle, release control and pass them on to God. He’s got your back. You’re covered!♥️
I am so very grateful for God’s patience with me. This journey has been long, tedious, and exhausting. I can’t even begin to count the number of times I have wanted to give up—BUT GOD!
Place everything—your fears, worries, needs, wants, and dreams—in God’s hands and leave them there. He has already worked everything out in your favor, from your current needs to your future dreams. Yes, leave them in God’s hands and rest.
I pray that your day is just as amazing as you are. You deserve it!♥️
The countdown to my 52nd birthday has officially begun. Yay!!!🎉 Although it’s two months away, I’m already excited like it’s happening next week or in a few days. For those who don’t know, I love celebrating my birthdays. No matter the age, I still feel like a little kid turning a year older. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll do this year. However, whatever I decide to do will be wonderful because I will make it so.🥰 I’m thinking a floral theme this year—something light and summery.😊🌸
When I say I want to lie in the grass and gaze up at the sky, this is what I’m talking about—the country.

So serene…
Earlier today, the smell of honeysuckles and fresh rain was in the air. I also noticed wild blackberry vines growing everywhere. Y’all, there’s nothing like picking a honeysuckle flower and tasting its nectar, nor picking wild blackberries and eating them off the vine. Oh…and the smell of fresh rain hitting the ground! Nothing comparable! All brought back memories of my summers with my grands (grand and great grand-mothers, aunts, and community ladies who helped raise me).
I miss them. I miss my summers. I miss the serenity and simplicity of it all.
Great memories. Blessed to have had those wonderful experiences.😌
No phone. No music. No distractions—not even your thoughts. Just you and God.😌
Mellow moments are so necessary.
Sitting here looking out the window, wishing I was a carefree little girl again. It’s the perfect weather for playing outside or lying on the grass gazing up at the sky. The birds are having sooo much fun. I wish I could be out there with them, enjoying God’s glory. Maybe I’ll join them for a few minutes tomorrow or Thursday.
Yes, mellow moments are necessary. If they don’t happen naturally, be intentional about creating them. Believe me, your soul will thank you.♥️
This weekend, I was told that nothing seems to bother me and that I’m always calm. Well, if you read my post from yesterday, “Look At God,” you’d know that’s not entirely true. Things do bother me, but I have learned not to dwell on them and to keep moving. It’s called moving and living in a space of peace.
Here’s what I have learned over the years. Peace is not something you can buy, nor can it be masked and displayed for others to see. True peace happens within. There’s this calmness you feel inside—even when chaos surrounds you and your mind begins to worry (yes, it still happens—you’re human)—this deep peace within never wavers. That’s the peace I’m referring to. It’s that peace only God can give! Listen, once you have it, you’ll do whatever you must to protect it.
“He Has His Hands On You” by Marvin Sapp has been playing in my head for several minutes now, so I thought I’d share it with you. The song says, “Just know He [God] has His hands on you.”
You’re in God’s hands, and it really is a wonderful place to be. Praying you have a restful night.♥️
