My Journey With God, No. 104

A few months ago, one of our fellow bloggers, Wynne Leon, shared a quote of questions by Henri Nouwen. I saved that quote because it resonated with my purpose of allowing God’s glory to shine through me. Every day, I strive to answer these questions, whether through my blog posts, posts on other social media platforms, or personal interactions.

Henri Nouwen’s Questions

Did I love?

Did I offer peace today?

Did I bring a smile to someone’s face?

Did I say words of healing?

Did I let go of my anger and resentment?

Did I forgive?

I pray that God’s glory is shining through me as I answer each question. If not, God, please guide me in doing so. Amen♥️

The Power Of Gratitude

Facebook Memory: June 18, 2019

As I mentioned six years ago, “Never underestimate the power of gratitude.” There is something about gratitude that brings peace. The kind of peace that surpasses all understanding. Yes, that God peace. (Philippians 4:7)

Always, always, always remain grateful.♥️

I love you much,

Shaun

Who Knows You Better Than Yourself?

Good Morning!☀️

How are you?

I pray you are doing well.🌸

Facebook Memory: June 18, 2022

Besides God, who knows you better than YOU? The answer is “No one.” Always remember, you control the pen to your life’s story. As you evolve, your story evolves. Feel free to revise it as you grow—it’s YOUR story.

That’s all for now. I pray you have a wonderfully blessed day. May it be filled with an abundance of love, joy, peace, and laughter. You deserve it!♥️

I love you,

Shaun

Shaun’s World

“Shaun’s World” was the original name of my blog. I’m not sure when I changed it to “It’s Shaun’s World.” A couple of days ago, I celebrated my 7th Anniversary of blogging. I hadn’t realized I had been blogging for so long.

On June 11, 2018, I wrote the following in my journal—

“I launched my birthday blog early. I was bored and had things to share. It’s called “Shaun’s World.” It’s me and all of my quirkiness. I needed this outlet. I’ll see how long I can keep this up.”

I started this blog to commemorate my 45th birthday, but as I mentioned, I launched it early. I needed an outlet besides Twitter and Facebook to express myself without being completely judged. Thank you for allowing me this space.

Here’s what I shared in my first post on June 9/10, 2018 (there are two different dates on the post).

Welcome to Shaun’s World, Again! Lol

Ha! I had published this same blog on my old site. That site is being deactivated. So follow me on this site. My new site.

Welcome to the world of random thoughts, inside jokes and carefree writing. Yes, it’s Shaun’s World!

This site isn’t meant to be stuffy or too serious because all of that is pretty boring. It takes too much thought and time to create those sites (been there, done that) when all I want to do is share.

So, be warned, grammatical errors will happen; corny jokes will be told; heartfelt and meaningless stories will be shared and life will go on.

Again, welcome to Shaun’s World!

Muah!

Again, thank you for allowing me this space to freely express myself and be ME. I truly appreciate YOU!

Love you!♥️

Grace

The quote is true. Grace will take you places hustling can’t. I’m so grateful to be covered by God’s grace. So grateful for the doors God’s grace has opened and is opening.

May God’s grace continue to cover us.

Amen🙏🏽♥️

My Journey With God, No. 99

I didn’t know it at the time, but the Pause I took not too long ago, was necessary. I needed to be still and calm (that’s where the breathing helped—see my last post “Pause and Breathe) so I could hear God’s voice.

Several days ago, God gave me a message. I wrote it down because it was pretty good. However, I never considered He was giving me instructions to follow. Today, He sent the same message but in a different way. This time, I received it, but it was only after I was still enough to understand that His words were instructional.

Sometimes, God gives us instructions that seem so minute that we barely recognize their significance. I am so grateful that He loves us enough to send the message(s) multiple times and in multiple ways.

I’m listening God. I am forever grateful for you patience, love, and grace. I am truly blessed.♥️

The Time Is Now

Good Morning☀️

How are you?

I pray all is well.🌸

Here’s a Facebook memory from June 4, 2022. The message is still the same but a little more pronounced nowadays. It seems like every week, someone I know or someone close to them has died. No lie, almost every week. I haven’t become numb to it, but it has made me live life a bit differently. Everything I thought was so urgent or concerning isn’t so anymore.

This memory is a message indeed. And before I continue, I must add that I’m not sad or depressed. I’m just beginning to view life differently and move in a manner that brings me the most fulfillment. Tomorrow isn’t promised, so the time is now!

I pray you have the most amazing day! May it be filled with lots of love, laughter, and joy.♥️

I love you much,

Shaun

**P.S. My posting schedule hasn’t changed. I was up late working on something and fell asleep, so I missed writing earlier. I guess my body needed the rest. It is my Wellness Wednesday.☺️ Maybe I’ll start scheduling all my posts to keep the time consistent. We shall see.😊

An Oddly Good Day

Today has been a rather oddly good day. That’s about the only way I can explain it. So odd, yet good. I could see God’s hand in everything, even things I found strange, uncomfortable, and somewhat challenging. I could see God.

Feeling blessed. Yes, God’s hand is in everything, and everything is in God’s hands.

I’ve been singing “Worthy” by Elevation Worship all day. The song says, “Worthy is Your name, Jesus. You deserve all praise. Worthy is Your name.” Amen

I pray you had a wonderful day. You deserved it!♥️

Love you much,

God’s Whispers

God’s whispers have the power to quiet doubts and calm fears.

I don’t know about you, but just hearing this makes me breathe a little easier.

He’s so amazing!♥️

Love you,
