Seriously, as I mentioned in my previous post, I feel rejuvenated. Like I woke up as a different, lighter person. The past week with my babies was the best. No complaints at all.
Favor, overflow, and grace in full effect!🥰 God is good.
Here are a few pictures from yesterday. My sisters will be here for a few hours this afternoon. Can’t wait to see them!💗
My daughter sent me a flower cake. It’s so pretty!🌺🌸🌼
Woke up singing, “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
God is so good.
God’s praise shall continually be in my mouth. Amen
I’m still on a high from my birthday weekend and my actual birthday. Will share pics from yesterday later. My sisters are coming to town today. So I get to celebrate some more! Yay, Me!!☺️🎉
I pray you have a wonderfully, blessed day. May it be filled with love, laughter, joy, and peace.♥️
Thanking God for allowing me to see another beautiful birthday.
Thankful for 52 years of life.
Fifty-two…
Over the past few weeks, I’ve contemplated this year’s theme for Year 52. I kept hearing the words “favor,” “overflow,” and “grace.” So, today, I decided to include all three. Since there are 52 weeks in a year, I am declaring 52 weeks of favor, overflow, and grace over my life!
When I reached 1,400 days of posting, I mentioned that I wanted to do something special to commemorate my 1,500th day. So, I decided to create an Instagram account for Shaun’s Daily Inspiration.
For my 1,000th day, I created a YouTube channel for Shaun’s Daily Inspiration, which allowed me to incorporate music into my posts. However, I had to create Shorts to do so. With Instagram, I can add music to my posts without having to create a reel or story, and I love it! As you’ll see in the video below, I’ve also updated the look of my graphics.
Here’s a glimpse at Shaun’s Daily Inspiration on Instagram.
My Bio says: Releasing into the world everything I desire to receive back—love, hope, peace, kindness, and inspiration. Allowing God’s glory to shine through me.✨
As you can see, my new look is the overall look on the landing page. However, I also kept the old look (with my artwork)—those can be found under my “Tags.”
I usually share the same posts here on my blog. However, if you would like to hear the music I chose to accompany the posts, you can find it on Instagram.
I always say I absolutely love the way God loves me, and I do!! I was beyond excited when I discovered my 1,500th day of posting fell on the day before my birthday. Who knew?! What a beautiful gift to me. I am truly beyond blessed.🌺🥰
Here’s a message to get your day and week started.
You already know what you have been chosen to do. You have known this for ages, so what I am saying is nothing new.
God handpicked YOU, specifically, because YOU are the ONLY one who can do what you have been called to do. ONLY YOU!
So, stop running.
You’re not going to fail.
God is with you.
He’s got you!
Yes, YOU! You were chosen for this!
That’s all for now. I pray you have a fabulous week! May it be filled with lots of love—unconditional love, that is—peace, joy, happiness, and laughter.♥️
Here are two posts I shared previously on this day.
Instagram Story: June 22, 2021
“Focus on the promise, not the process.”
Facebook Memory: June 22, 2019
Again, what has your focus—the promise or the process? I don’t know about you but the promise has my focus. The process is always going to do what it does. It’s called life. My advice is to stay focused on the promise.♥️
At this moment, I’m singing “Blessings (On Me)” by Theresa Phondo. The song says—
“Blessings on blessings on me. Blessings on blessings on me. Everywhere I go they’ll be—blessings on blessings on me. I can feel it.”
Yes, I can feel it!
Beyond Blessed🌺
And the countdown continues! THREE DAYS until Year52!🎉
Y’all, I am so grateful for life. I know I say this all the time, but I really don’t take my life for granted. I am so very grateful that I am still here and I’m healthy. I’m thankful for the love and kindness that surrounds me daily. I’m thankful for my babies, family, and friends. God, thank You for blessing me.
I pray that you have a beautiful self-love Saturday. Be sure to do something extra special for yourself, even if it’s just relaxing.♥️
During my adulthood, I have taken quite a few leaps of faith, some small and some life-changing. With each leap came challenges; however, all were so worth taking.
Six years ago, I mentioned that I took leaps while afraid. Well, baby, on this side of 50, nothing seems to frighten me—not sure if that’s a good or bad thing😅—I’m just out here going with the flow. I’m not sure what my next leap will be, but I do know that whatever it is, I’m doing it fearlessly because I know from years of experience that God will always be with me.♥️
I woke up this morning singing Charlie Wilson’s song, “I’m Blessed.” The song says—
“Ask me how I’m doing, I’m blessed, yes. Living every moment, no regrets. Smile upon my face, I’m like, oh yes, I’m blessed, yes. I’m blessed, yes. I’m blessed!”
Yesss… I am so very blessed. I am so grateful for God’s love, mercy, and grace. There’s nothing like it. Amen
Y’all, only FIVE days until my birthday!!🎉😄 I’m so excited! I’m even more excited because I get to see my baby girl today!!😆 Let the festivities begin! Year52 is loading!
I pray you have the greatest day yet! May it be filled with love, joy, peace, and laughter. You deserve it!♥️
I love you,
Shaun
**Fun fact: Many, many moons ago, when I was a little girl living in Kansas, we belonged to the same church as Charlie Wilson’s sister, Loretta. She had four or five boys and I had a crush on one. Those were the days. Good memories!
A few months ago, one of our fellow bloggers, Wynne Leon, shared a quote of questions by Henri Nouwen. I saved that quote because it resonated with my purpose of allowing God’s glory to shine through me. Every day, I strive to answer these questions, whether through my blog posts, posts on other social media platforms, or personal interactions.
Henri Nouwen’s Questions
Did I love?
Did I offer peace today?
Did I bring a smile to someone’s face?
Did I say words of healing?
Did I let go of my anger and resentment?
Did I forgive?
I pray that God’s glory is shining through me as I answer each question. If not, God, please guide me in doing so. Amen♥️
