Facebook memory: September 8, 2018 Caption and picture.

How many of you have tried to rush things and God said, “Be still” or “Be patient”?

Be Still
Be Patient
God’s Working

I’m not going to lie, I have been feeling pretty low for a few days now. Can’t seem to stop crying. I keep asking myself where is my life headed. Honestly, it seems like my ambitions and dreams have shriveled up. All I’m left with is nothingness. Like, I feel nothing. I want nothing. I’m just here.

Yesterday, my son said I needed to get out the house and go somewhere, anywhere. I was like, all I’ve been doing is going. He said I needed to go somewhere for myself, not to take care of things for someone else. So, we drove down to the coast for lunch. He was right, I needed to do something for me. Now, here I am laying here with my thoughts. I just can’t seem to stop crying. I’ve been patient with myself for years, so why am I not further along? I don’t want to die without achieving my dreams; however, right now, I don’t have any drive to move forward. None. I just want to be.

I know this moment will pass. It always does. But it’s becoming harder and harder to bounce back. This is hard to admit but I’m beginning to feel hopeless. Just being transparent.

Just Dropping In To Say Hello

About a week and a half ago, I decided to log off all of my social media accounts to include not blogging. I needed to concentrate on a few things and the noise was a bit much. Now that I’ve been off for a while I’m not sure when, or if, I’ll return. I’m not referring to blogging because I still love to write (been journalling several times a day). I’m referring to my other accounts, particularly Twitter and Facebook. They tend to give me anxiety. Always too much going on. With that said, there are aspects I do miss. I miss tweeting during my shows, saying “Good Morning” to the sisters in the Facebook group, We Are Sistas, and keeping in touch with close family and friends. The other stuff, I don’t miss it at all. It was just a bunch of noise. If I don’t see it on the morning shows, nightly news, or hear about it on the radio, I’ll live. As I said, it was just too much. If I do return, things are going to be different.

How I’m feeling. Life is good.

Listen, once you find peace it’s hard to go back to chaos. Just saying. Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see y’all on Sunday!

Hello Sunday

Thought I’d switch it up. Smile.

Hello! Hello! Hello!

It is Sunday, again! I hope you have something AMAZING planned. I am having brunch with my son this morning. Guess I forgot to tell y’all that he is finally back from his summer vacation. I missed him so much. Honestly, it is nice having someone to laugh with, again. Laughing alone is sad, but also entertaining at the same time. I often found myself laughing at myself. Life… Anyway, I do have to confess, the empty nest life is not so bad. Kinda looking forward to it. Lol. But for now, it really is good having him back home, and I am going to cherish every moment God has granted us together.

Okay… y’all enjoy your Sunday! Hope yours is as sunny and delightful as mine.
